Children’s theatre cultural centre was founded by theatre personnel union in Ferghana city in 1989.
Theatre started its work as theatre-studio. Founders of the theatre were people’s artists of Uzbekistan Bernora Kariyeva and Inom Tursunov.
This theatre was founded on the basis of Tashkent state theatre by students of Art Institution: Kamoliddin Turdaliyev, Tavakkal Sultanov, Nataliya Maslova; talented members of artistic groups: Nurullo Tursunov,Ikrom Khatamov, Ayubjan Khomidjanov, Tamara Sivorodkina,Svetlana Glazkova, Roman Priludskiy. Khabibullo Khakimov was appointed as art manager.
Production of first performances of theatre –studio:
Khabibullo Khakimov “Kugichokbozlar tomoshasi”(Puppeteers show), O. Tolipova “Sirli sandiq”(Magic chest), producer Mariyam Ashurova, Spiranskiy’s work “ Garoyib poyga” ( Wonderful race) Mukhammadsoli Yunusov,people’s artist of Uzbekistan, performed to the audience.
Gradually Ferghana puppet theatre-studio proved its existence and hard work gave its fruit.
In 1993 regional state children’s puppet theatre started its work as a wonderful gift to the children for the anniversary of independence.
In 1993 the status Ferghana regional state puppet theatre was given to the children’s theatre-studio according to the resolution №26 of the ministry of culture and sport of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 25 February and the resolution №11 of cultural activities of Ferghana regional government on 1March.
Khabibullo Khakimov was appointed as art manager and director of the theatre by mayor of Ferghana region.
Shows are performed in Uzbek and Russian in Ferghana regional state puppet theatre.
Playwright and producer Khabibullo Khakimov and people’s artist of Uzbekistan Mukhammadsoli Yusupov were prizewinners of “ the best musical show ” for “ Three oranges ” by Italian writer Italo Kolvinnani in IV Republic puppet theatre festival in 1993.
Production director Kh.Khakimov was prizewinner of “ the best production”, designer Sergey Sedukhin “the best designer”, composer Roman Litvin “ the best music”, Nataliya Maslova “ the best female role” for “Wild duckling” by V.Senokeyvich in V Republic puppet theatre festival in 1995.
In 1996 theatre troop was on a long tour in Kazan city, the Republic of Tataristan, skillfully performing “Golden chicken” by V.Orlova, production director Mariyam Ashurova, production designer Sergey Sedukhin.
Theatre participated in Culture Days of Uzbekistan in Germany, Bonn city, on 21March, 1997.
The performance “Alpomish” was laureate of “the best show” in VI Republic puppet theatre festival in Samarkand, 2000. Besides honored artist of Uzbekistan Shomurod Yusupov was awarded with “ the best production”, composer Alisher Ikromov “the best music”, people’s leader of culture of Uzbekistan, production designer, Vilyamin Anudin “ the best designer”, puppet master Venera Sagadayeva “the most complicated puppet”
Later the theatre performed shows to the young audience in Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan.
The theatre has produced more than 30 plays , and 33600 shows have been performed on tours having more than 46800 audiences, more than1000 charity performances with more than 10000 audiences since 1990.
